LAMB STATEMENT ON H. RES. 660 TO ESTABLISH GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PHASE OF IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) issued the following statement:

“This resolution sets the rules for the upcoming hearings.  I believe everyone benefits from clear rules, so I voted yes.  I have not made any decision about impeachment, nor will I until all the evidence is in.

“I do believe that Russia is a major threat to the United States in Ukraine and around the world, and our oath requires us to put our country first, always.”

HOUSE PASSES SHIELD ACT TO PROTECT AMERICAN ELECTIONS FROM FOREIGN INTERFERENCE

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, the House passed the broad election protection package H.R. 4617, the Stopping Harmful Interference in Elections for a Lasting Democracy (SHIELD) Act.  Included within the SHIELD Act is H.R. 4703, the DEFEND Act (Defending Elections from Foreign Efforts to Negate Democracy), a bill introduced by Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17).

The DEFEND Act would prohibit foreign nationals from paying to promote, attack, support, or oppose American candidates online.  This legislation protects our domestic elections by:

HOUSE PASSES BILL TO DESIGNATE HOOKSTOWN POST OFFICE AS THE “STAFF SERGEANT DYLAN ELCHIN POST OFFICE BUILDING”

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, the House passed H.R. 3207, a bill introduced by Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 114 Mill Street in Hookstown, Pennsylvania, as the "Staff Sergeant Dylan Elchin Post Office Building."  Staff Sergeant Elchin was tragically killed by a roadside bomb in Ghazni province in Afghanistan on November 27, 2018.
