LAMB STATEMENT ON HOUSE PASSAGE OF THE PROTECTING THE RIGHT TO ORGANIZE (PRO) ACT

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) issued the following statement following the House’s passage of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act:

“Today we passed the first bipartisan bill in generations to reform our labor laws and protect and expand workers’ rights to organize, bargain collectively, and ensure they’re treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.”

LAMB CALLS FOR BIPARTISAN PASSAGE OF NEW AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) issued the following statement following consideration of two measures by the House related to the ongoing U.S. military engagement in the Middle East:

“I agree that the current Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) needs to be replaced.  So do many of my Republican colleagues, and we are continuing to push for a new, bipartisan AUMF.  But we do not have one yet, and I do not believe our troops in the Middle East deserve to have either AUMF repealed without a replacement.

LAMB ANNOUNCES WINNER OF 2019 CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) announced that a team of two students from Shady Side Academy, Nicholas Zana and Jason Wu, are the winners of the Congressional App Challenge for Pennsylvania’s 17th District for their math education app “Mathias.”

Lamb hosted the Congressional App Challenge to give middle school and high school students in PA-17 an opportunity to practice coding and computer science skills.  The winning app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.

LAMB INTRODUCES BIPARTISAN GRID MODERNIZATION RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 2019

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representatives Conor Lamb (PA-17) and Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-3) recently introduced H.R. 5428, the Grid Modernization Research and Development Act of 2019.  This bill would refine and expand vital research programs at the Department of Energy focused on modernizing and improving our nation’s electric grid.
