(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) issued the following statement following consideration of two measures by the House related to the ongoing U.S. military engagement in the Middle East:

"I agree that the current Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) needs to be replaced. So do many of my Republican colleagues, and we are continuing to push for a new, bipartisan AUMF. But we do not have one yet, and I do not believe our troops in the Middle East deserve to have either AUMF repealed without a replacement.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – This week the House unanimously passed S. 153, the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act, the Senate companion to H.R. 425, a bipartisan bill authored by Representative Neal Dunn (FL-2) and co-led by Rep. Conor Lamb (PA-17). The House originally passed the bipartisan legislation in February 2019. The Senate companion version, led by Senators Marco Rubio (FL) and Amy Klobuchar (MN), passed the Senate in December 2019 with an additional provision requiring a study of the bill's impact on veterans.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) announced that a team of two students from Shady Side Academy, Nicholas Zana and Jason Wu, are the winners of the Congressional App Challenge for Pennsylvania's 17th District for their math education app "Mathias."

Lamb hosted the Congressional App Challenge to give middle school and high school students in PA-17 an opportunity to practice coding and computer science skills. The winning app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.
