LAMB ELECTED VICE CHAIR OF HOUSE COMMITTEE ON VETERANS’ AFFAIRS FOR 116TH CONGRESS
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Democrats on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs (HVAC) elected Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) to serve as Vice Chair of the Committee during the 116th Congress.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to help lead Democrats on the Committee as we work to keep the promises we've made to all the men and women who serve our country," said Lamb. "I look forward to working with Chairman Takano (D-CA) and Ranking Member Roe (R-TN) to keep making bipartisan progress on our Committee and to make sure all American veterans get the care, support and opportunities they've earned."
Lamb was also appointed to the following HVAC Subcommittees:
- Subcommittee on Health: Legislative, oversight and investigative jurisdiction over the Veterans Health Administration including medical services, medical support and compliance, medical facilities, medical and prosthetic research, and major and minor construction;
- Subcommittee on Technology Modernization: Oversees technology projects in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), including the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Modernization program.
