LAMB APPOINTED CHAIR OF BIPARTISAN CONGRESSIONAL STEEL CAUCUS FOR 116TH CONGRESS
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Congressman Pete Visclosky (D-IN) announced that Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) will be the new Chairman of the Congressional Steel Caucus during the 116th Congress.
"America produces the world's best steel, and southwestern Pennsylvania produces the world's best steelworkers. I'm excited for the opportunity to lead this bipartisan group and work with my colleagues from both parties to help strengthen the steel industry to protect American jobs and American workers."
The Congressional Steel Caucus is a bipartisan group of over 100 Members of Congress who represent regions with steel manufacturers or care about the health of the American steel industry. In addition to introducing legislation supporting the domestic steel community, Caucus members also routinely meet with Administration officials and WTO representatives to communicate the interests of the American industry and its steelworkers.
