  • FEMA APPLICATION PERIOD OPEN FOR FIREFIGHTER GRANT PROGRAMS

    Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is now accepting applications for multiple firefighter grant programs: Assistance to Firefighter Grants (AFG); Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER); and Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S). The application period for all programs closes on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
  • FUNDING ANNOUNCED FOR UPPER OHIO NAVIGATION PROJECT

    The Upper Ohio Navigation Project has received $7.7 million in funding for the Pre-Construction Engineering and Design (PED) phase under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) FY2020 Work Plan. The Upper Ohio Navigation Project addresses lock condition and capacity issues at Emsworth, Dashields, and Montgomery Locks and Dams along the Ohio River. Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) and members of the regional delegation have advocated for funding of the project to ensure the stability of the Montgomery Lock, located at mile 31.7 of the Ohio River in Beaver County.
  • LAMB ISSUES 2019 YEAR END PROGRESS REPORT

    Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) issued a report highlighting the work of his office in 2019 for the constituents of Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District. In 2019, Lamb worked in a bipartisan manner to deliver results on local priorities, introducing 10 bills and co-leading nine bipartisan bills – six of which passed the House of Representatives. In addition to the legislative work in Washington, Lamb’s office has successfully returned more than $1.297 million owed to constituents in 2019, putting money back in the pockets of families in western Pennsylvania.
  • LAMB INTRODUCES BIPARTISAN GRID MODERNIZATION RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 2019

    Representatives Conor Lamb (PA-17) and Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-3) recently introduced H.R. 5428, the Grid Modernization Research and Development Act of 2019. This bill would refine and expand vital research programs at the Department of Energy focused on modernizing and improving our nation’s electric grid.
  • HOUSE PASSES BIPARTISAN BILL TO LOWER PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICES

    The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act of 2019. In Pennsylvania, there are 2.1 million people enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan and 7.4 million people enrolled in private health insurance—all of whom stand to benefit from the passage of H.R. 3. The legislation aims to lower prescription drug prices and improve Medicare for seniors and families across the country, including the creation of a $2,000 out-of-pocket limit on prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare Part D.
  • LAMB MEETS WITH DEPLOYED U.S. TROOPS OVER THANKSGIVING

    Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) traveled overseas with a Congressional delegation to meet with military leadership and deployed members of the U.S. Armed Forces during the Thanksgiving holiday.
